CHERRY BLOSSOM SNOW

Snowing, blowing, in the air, all around

Piles of soft blossom are blushing the ground

And as the wind tears at every bloom

The trees cry together, ‘Too soon, too soon!’

The wind pays no heed, he just cannot stop

As time is ticking away on the clock

‘Forgive me!’ he cries ‘but I must blow!’

And the trees plead together

‘Don’t go, don’t go!’

Swirling in sunlight

Flushed glorious pink

Whirling and twirling but then it must sink

In soft raspberry piles the grass it adorns

The trees are now quiet, but they mourn, they mourn

From bud to blossom

To ground, to brown

What flies high will always come down

But the beautiful blossom paraded it’s hue

The trees nod together ‘So true, so true.’

So take to the air

Forget your past

Swirl in your moments as if they’re the last

The ground may beckon but you have time

‘Fly!’ sing the trees ‘It’s your moment to shine!’
